Wisdom Community CentreWisdom Community Centre is a community resource centre offering diverse services for individuals and families. Wisdom Community Centre provides holistic, counselling, and advisory preventative and remedial services to victims of domestic violence, individuals in crisis, youth mentoring, career development, employability strategies, family conflict resolution and mediation services.
Our Aim
The Centre aims to make a difference in lives by empowering individuals to maximise potentials, optimise gifting, as well as talents. We believe each individual has the potentials to attain heights to the best of their abilities and we endeavour to work with them on a one on one basis to actualise their dreams.
Our Beliefs
We Believe:
- In focusing on strengths rather than limitations
- That every child/individual has potentials to be great given the right tools
- That all children and families can experience change and have better lives
- In equal opportunities for all; irrespective of race, gender and disabilities
Mission Statement
Our mission statement is in the fundamental belief that the use of violence, power and control in any relationship is an infringement of Human Rights and totally unacceptable. In accordance with our motto 'Investing in lives, Making a Difference', we use seminars and workshops as tools of change to boost self-esteem and confidence of individuals affected by the detrimental effects of domestic violence, empower individuals to re-discover themselves, fulfil their potentials, enhance existing skills and acquire/develop marketable skills.
We value partnership, cooperation and collaboration with individuals and families as the best approach to getting the desired results and making a positive impact on the society.
Domestic Violence
" Every year, millions of people all over the world are victims of domestic violence. At WCC we are in the business of Investing In Lives thereby Making A Difference, touching one soul at a time. We take pleasure in creating social change, guided by optimism. We started work on Domestic Violence with a project called WOMEN IN TEARS and later extended this to a project called MEN2CRY"
