Many women wear so many hats in the course of their lives that it’s so easy to lose sight of “who” they really are. I’m talking of authentic identity; your authentic self. Not what you are identified with…..I’m not talking about what you do for a living- that’s your professional status. I’m not talking about whether you have a child or not-that’s parenthood or potential parenthood status, married or single, widowed, divorced or separated-that’s your relationship status.
Who are you, when you are stripped of all these accolades of your profession, marital status or singletons, parenthood or not yet, etc? Will the real *YOU* please stand up?
So many women go through life with charades, dressed to the nines with a fake persona, going through the motion of surviving but not *really living* because they are scared of being stripped naked, transparent, vulnerable and ever fearful that the real individual would be judged should all the masks be taken away!
So, you hide behind your tinted glasses, the myriads of colours that you cover yourself with, the fantasy world that cloaks the real you. Who are you dying inside, to impress? Why are you so focused on pleasing people that you displease yourself? Why are you approval addicted? The so-called social butterfly that’s just a timid little girl desiring to be loved sincerely? Hmmmm. Why does your authenticity scare the hell out of you?
Jeremiah 31:3- “The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.” Would you care to unveil the mask so God could show you how much you’re sincerely loved? Do you know HE loves you so very much and there is nothing you can do to make Him love you less? Do you know whatever mess you’ve gone through does not diminish His love for you? Do you know you are perfect in your imperfections?
Beloved, I am here to assure you that you are beautiful inside out. You may have made a mistake in life but that does not make you a mistake! You are a dimension of His creativity and an epitome of His glory. You are His splendour personified. You are one of a kind. Simply the Best!
Chin up quintessential beauty and accept your uniqueness. Guess what? You are a WoW individual! Dare to celebrate your authenticity. You are enough! You don’t have to prove anything to anyone. Make a quality decision to love “you” just as you are; curves and all, slim or slender, petite or not! You are not what you weigh or what you don’t weigh!
God says, “You Are Mine!” End of! You are worth loving and worth dying for. Jesus proved that; HE died just for YOU! Cheers to YOU!
